Discus and High Jump Nominations

If your child is 8-13 years of age this year, and interested in participating in high jump or discus at Diocesan level, please collect the nomination form from the office to complete. These forms need to be signed off by an accredited coach to be considered, and unfortunately, cannot be accepted if this is unable to happen. The heights and/or distances recorded will be compared with other students in the Zone to decide who will be successful for Dio. This form must be returned to school by 26th June 2025.

1500m Nominations for Richmond Zone

If your child wishes to nominate for the 1500m at the Richmond Zone Athletics carnival, can they please see Mrs Barnes or email melissa.barnes@lism.catholic.edu.au to express their interest. Age groups are Juniors (8/9/10 years), 11 years and 12 years. If we have more than 2 nominations, a trial will be held at school to select athletes. Nominations close Monday, 23rd June.

St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival - Thursday 26th June

St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday, 26th June in our school grounds.

Children may wear blue, green and yellow coloured shirts appropriate to their Sports House and appropriate shorts. Sunscreen should be applied before leaving home and reapplied during the day. School hats must be worn. 

The 200m Zone Trials will be held at Woodburn Recreation Oval on Monday, 23 June. 

A timetable for the Athletics Carnival has been sent to parents via Compass.

Age Champions and the winning colour house will be announced at a special sports assembly on Friday,27th June,at  3 pm.

Thursday 31st July Richmond Zone Athletics Carnival - Woodlawn.

Tuesday 26th August - Diocesan Athletics Carnival - Coffs Harbour.

Friday 29th August - Stage 3 Soccer, Netball and Multisport Gala Day - Lismore
