SPORTS - Mrs Barnes

Due to the current COVID restrictions our annual Swimming Carnival will be held differently this year. Only competitive swimmers - students who can competently swim 50m are asked to nominate on the provided form. The competitive carnival will be held at the Evans Head Aquatic Centre on Thursday, 9th December 2021. Due to COVID restrictions, limits have been placed upon numbers and no parents, friends or carers will be allowed to attend the carnival. All competitors will travel to the carnival by bus from school at 10am and return once the competitive carnival is completed - approximately 2 hours  The pool will also be closed to the general public during this time..  A program will be displayed at school prior to the Carnival.

Pool entry for competitors will be $4.00 each ( to be paid on the day)  If you have an Evans Head Pool Season Pass or Fitness Passport please inform us on the return slip. You will need to bring your fitness passport or season pass on the day. Please return the permission slip and swimming nominations by 18th November 2021.

Champion trophies will be awarded to:-

• Junior Boy
• Junior Girl
• Senior Boy
• Senior Girl.

The school has organised a Water Fun Day at Woodburn Pool on Monday 13th December 2021 for all students. We will complete the competitive carnival with relays and fun water activities on this fun day -  more information in the coming weeks.
