Dear Families
KINDERGARTEN 2023
We are very excited to be taking enrolments now for Kindergarten 2023. As we continue to grow our school at our current site, we look forward to our new Kindergarten joining the journey and growing with us.
We will be holding our Kindy Information Night on Tuesday 21 June 2022. If you have children ready to begin school next year, or if you know of anyone who may be interested in enrolling in Kindergarten (or any other year) in 2023, the Information Evening will be held on Tuesday 21 June at 6 pm.
THANK YOU TO XAVIER COLLEGE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM STUDENTS
Today the student's from the Year 9 Community Service Program at Xavier Catholic College visited our school to deliver beautiful new books that had been donated to the College for those schools impacted by the floods. SUNDAY GOSPEL REFLECTION:
Year C - TRINITY SUNDAY
Gospel Reading
John 16:12-15
Whatever the Father has is mine. The Spirit of truth will guide us.
This weekend in our church we celebrate Trinity Sunday. It’s a day we celebrate the truth that God is made up of the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. The Bible reveals that there is only one God but that this God is made up of three parts, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We understand that Jesus is our saviour and friend, the Holy Spirit can live inside of us and give us life, and we can know the deep love the Father has for us.
Catholic Schools Parent Assembly Family Prayer Boxes
A big thank you to the Catholic Schools Parent Assembly for assembling the Family Prayer Boxes for each class in our school.
Each box contains a prayer cloth, a candle, Rosary Beads, Rosary Card
Rosary Card, A Prayer cube, a Prayer Keyring, Prayer Journal and pencils
We thank Mrs Jo Kelly and the team for preparing and delivering these gifts to us. Students will soon be able to take the class prayer box home, set up a prayer space, write in the prayer journal, gather and pray and then return the box to school.
There is a Family Action Card in each box that explains how to use the items to pray.
One idea is that the prayer space may be set up on the family meal table and candle lit before grace before meals.
Important Dates
The STARRS PRODUCTION SHOW - Young Mary will visit our school on Friday 24th June at 1:15 pm. We look forward to enjoying this event.

St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival
St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 17th June at Geoff Watt Oval, Alstonville. Students will travel by bus to and from Alstonville. There will be no charge for the bus – this cost is covered by the school.
It is an expectation that all children will travel with the school by bus to the carnival and stay until the completion of the day's activities. Age Champions and the winning colour house will be announced at the carnival. If your child is unable to attend, please state on the permission note. This would be appreciated as all children are placed in races to ensure no one missed out.
Children may wear blue, green and yellow coloured shirts appropriate to their Sports House and appropriate shorts. Sunscreen should be applied before leaving home and students must wear their school hat. All students need to bring their own water. Fruit, lunch and recess will be provided as usual. No canteen will be operating on the day.
Parent helpers will be needed at the carnival with marshalling, judging, recording etc, so if you are available and can help, please email myself - melissa.barnes@lism.catholic.edu.au. by Wednesday 15th June.
Please ensure your child's medical details are correct on Compass. In the case that this event is postponed to a future date, this consent will be taken to apply to that future event, unless consent is withdrawn in writing, to the school.
The Program for the day will be available early next week.
